Day 17

Reading Guide

Have you ever paid attention to what you think about throughout the day? Think about your inner dialogue of the past few days and if they are trending more positive or negative. It is important to be aware of the attitude of your thoughts, because it may be a reflection of the things you do, see, and experience. If you’re doubting yourself, is what you are saying in your head true? If you’re absolutely annoyed with your family at the moment, are your thoughts towards them honorable? If you’re convinced that you could never become the person you think you should be, are those thoughts right?  God doesn’t just want to improve the way we think but transform and change our minds. God’s voice in your life is always going to be true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Focus on what your thoughts revolve around today. Jot down the top 3 things that have crossed your mind lately. If negative, ask God to alter your perspective. Talk to someone about it.

Scripture

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
