Day 19

Reading Guide

To become good at doing any new thing in life, it takes discipline and time. The same applies to our prayer life. It can be so easy to get sidetracked by our crazy lives, but if God is placed on the backburner of our daily life then how do we keep His voice from being drowned out? Luckily, it doesn’t take a ton of time to give God your full attention. Being still in His presence is simply acknowledging that moment is meant for only Him. God desires a daily relationship with you and wants to give you ALL of His love! It may not come easily at first, but we will never know how our lives can change when we choose to rest and just be with our God. For five minutes, instead of scrolling through social media, maybe write your prayers to God. Use a car ride to listen to worship music. Sit in silence while you watch tonight’s summer sunset.

Scripture

"Be still in the presence of the Lord , and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes."

Psalms 37:7
