Day 20

Reading Guide

In the bible, Paul talks about how living in the freedom given to us by Christ means shifting our thoughts and actions outward. We can use our freedom not to satisfy ourselves, but to serve each other in love. Rather than a thought or an idea, this type of love is a verb, an action. Each and every person on earth was made in the image of God, but was also made entirely unique. We are united in Christ, but also have our own gifts, talents, and qualities. As you spend time with those around you, are you using love as a way to show respect, celebrate differences, and stand up for those who need support? When you do this, you are sharing Christ’s love that leads to ultimate freedom and joy.

Scripture

"Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had."
